Role Description

Mangrove is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Agency Operations Specialist (AOS) to join our Distribution team. . This full-time hybrid role reports to the Agency Operations Manager and plays a critical part in supporting agency relationships, ensuring compliance, and optimizing operational workflows.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong organizational skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of new agents/producers in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements including state appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records of agency licensing, appointments, E&O certificates, and W-9 forms.
  • Manage system user credentials and provide technical support to agency partners.
  • Research and resolve agent commission discrepancies or returned commission statements or funds.
  • Assist underwriting with agency-related policy audits and retention efforts.
  • Conduct automation testing for system updates and enhancements.
  • Actively contributes to system and product improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and refine departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Track and report agent incentives programs and agency tiering metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Respond to agent inquiries with professionalism and timely follow-up.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR).

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in similar roles within the P&C insurance industry; 5+ years preferred
  • Strong ability to multitask on projects while maintaining attention to detail and deliverables
  • Effective team player capable of working with all levels of the organization
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Familiarity with Salesforce
  • Ability to work Eastern Time Zone hours
  • Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a can-do spirit
  • Talent for delivering superior customer service
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred
